Legion Trade Journal Privacy Policy
Effective date: 6 August 2026. Applies to: the Legion Trade Journal Android application, published by Legion Algo Labs. This policy explains what information Legion Trade Journal handles, what stays on your device, and what happens if you choose to export or share your journal information.
1. About This Policy
Legion Algo Labs is the developer and provider of the Legion Trade Journal Android application (package name com.legionalgolabs.tradejournal). This policy explains how the Legion Trade Journal app handles information.
Legion Trade Journal is a private, offline XAUUSD trading journal. It is a separate, standalone application from the wider Legion Algo Labs website and the Legion HQ mobile application, and this policy covers the standalone Legion Trade Journal app specifically. It supplements, and does not replace, the main Legion Algo Labs Privacy Policy, which applies to legionalgolabs.com and the Legion HQ mobile application.
2. Scope Of This Policy
This policy applies only to the Legion Trade Journal Android application. It does not apply to the Legion Algo Labs website, the Legion HQ mobile application, Legion Academy, Legion+, or any other Legion Algo Labs product, each of which is covered by its own policy where applicable.
3. Information Handled By The App
Legion Trade Journal is designed as a local-first application. Information you enter into the app — including trade records, notes, screenshots, weekly reviews, playbook setups, and app settings — is stored locally on your device and is not transmitted to Legion Algo Labs or to any third party unless you deliberately export or share that information yourself.
The app also reads your device's local timezone once, using your device's own settings, to display dates and times correctly. This value is read locally and is never transmitted anywhere.
Legion Algo Labs does not receive, remotely store, sell, or share journal content entered into Legion Trade Journal.
4. Local Device Storage
Trade records, app settings, weekly reviews, and playbook data are stored using your device's local application storage, which is private to the app and not accessible to other apps on your device.
Screenshots you attach are copied into a private, app-specific folder on your device. None of this locally stored information is automatically synced, backed up, or transmitted anywhere by the app.
5. Trade Entries And Journal Information
The app lets you record trade details such as date, time, session, setup, direction, entry, stop, target, exit, lot size, fees, notes, mistake tags, emotion, and grade, along with a running update timeline for each trade (for example price updates, partial closes, or stop moves). You can also record weekly reviews and playbook setups with checklists.
All of this information is entered by you and stored only on your device unless you choose to export or back it up.
6. Screenshots And Attachments
You may attach chart screenshots to a trade, a trade update, or a playbook setup. Screenshots are selected from your device's photo library only — the app does not use your camera and cannot access it.
A copy of the selected image is saved into the app's own private storage folder on your device. Screenshots are not included in CSV exports, and are referenced only as a local file path (not embedded as image data) inside JSON backups, so restoring a backup on a different device will not carry the underlying image across.
7. Exports And Backups
You can export your trades as a CSV file, or create a full JSON backup of your trades, settings, weekly reviews, and playbook data. Both are generated only when you choose to do so, and both are handed to your device's own share function so that you decide where the file goes — for example, saving it, emailing it, or sending it through another app of your choice.
Legion Algo Labs is not a party to that transfer and does not receive a copy of exported or backed-up files. You are responsible for protecting any file you export, back up, upload, or share outside the app, including choosing where it is stored and who you share it with.
You can also import a previously created JSON backup file using your device's file picker. The file is read directly from your device and used to restore your journal locally.
8. Device Permissions
Legion Trade Journal requests access to your device's photo library so that you can attach existing chart screenshots to trades, trade updates, and playbook setups. This is the only sensitive permission the app requests.
The app does not request or use camera, microphone, location, contacts, SMS, call log, or notification-overlay permissions. Camera and microphone access are explicitly disabled in the app's configuration, even though the underlying photo-picker component could otherwise request them.
Standard platform permissions related to general app storage and connectivity may still be present on the device as part of the underlying app framework, but they are not used by Legion Trade Journal to transmit or collect information.
9. Third-Party Services
Legion Trade Journal does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, authentication, or payment service. The app does not require or offer any account, login, or in-app purchase.
Google Play and your device's platform may independently process technical, installation, purchase, or diagnostic information under their own privacy policies when you download or run the app. Legion Algo Labs does not receive your journal content through those services.
10. Analytics And Crash Reporting
Legion Trade Journal does not include any analytics or crash-reporting software development kit. Legion Algo Labs does not receive usage statistics, crash reports, or diagnostic data from the app.
11. Data Retention And Deletion
Information you enter remains on your device for as long as you keep the app installed, or until you delete it yourself. You can delete individual trades, trade updates, and weekly reviews from within the app, and archive playbook setups.
Uninstalling the app or clearing its storage through your device settings will remove locally stored journal information from that device, unless you have created a backup file, which is retained wherever you chose to save it and remains outside Legion Algo Labs' control.
12. Security
Because journal information is not transmitted to or stored on Legion Algo Labs' servers, it is not exposed to the kinds of server-side security risks that affect online services. Information stored locally is protected by your device's own operating-system security, in the same way as other private app data on your device.
Once you export, back up, or share a file outside the app, its security depends on where you store it and who you share it with. No storage or sharing method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
13. Children's Privacy
Legion Trade Journal is a trading-record and self-review tool intended for adults. It is not directed at, marketed to, or designed for children, and Legion Algo Labs does not knowingly collect information from children through this app.
14. International Users
Because journal information stays on your device unless you personally export or share it, Legion Algo Labs does not transfer your journal content across borders. If you download the app through Google Play, Google may process certain technical or purchase information under its own privacy policy, which may involve processing outside your home country.
15. Changes To This Policy
Legion Algo Labs may update this policy from time to time, for example to reflect app changes or legal requirements. Updated versions will be published at this page, and the effective date above will be updated accordingly.

17. Not Financial Advice
Legion Trade Journal is a trading journal and educational self-review tool. It does not execute trades, connect to a broker, manage funds, or provide personalised financial, investment, legal, or tax advice.
Trading involves risk. You remain solely responsible for your own trading decisions, broker activity, capital allocation, and risk. Nothing in this app or this policy constitutes financial advice.
